  1. Thank you for the info… I was diagnosed with PTSD over 30 years ago and was told there was no cure, but with therapy, I have learned how to maintain my symptoms. I found CBT therapy very helpful, with exposure therapy!

      I am really glad to hear that! I am glad you were able to get good help and information along the way, because finding relevant information was once difficult, but is now so vast it’s hard to sort. That’s why I created this whole site; to understand and see the big picture of my own CPTSD.
      It took me awhile to understand that the word “cure” is misleading in CPTSD and PTSD, because it’s not like people reset to before; it’s more of a journey to adapt and become stronger. Please feel free to comment and share experiences that you think will help others!

        Yes, back in the 90’s it was hard to find information on PTSD but I found a wonderful counsellor, a Nurse, through the Psychiatric Dept. of the hospital I was in for 3 months. I saw this lady once a week for 5 years and she helped me so much. I still benefit from it all these years later…
